Austria was the host for the latest project meeting for the FINER Erasmus Plus project. Partners from Austria, Cyprus, Greece, Germany, Ireland, and Italy all travelled to Vienna for a 2-day meeting to discuss the latest developments on the project.
FINER or Find you INner powER is a project that focuses on the mental and physical well-being of young adults in a post-pandemic world. The aim of the project is to raise awareness with young people about the importance of taking care of their well-being. Project partners have developed comprehensive resources and tools to support young adults and those who work with them in minding their mental and physical well-being.
The well-being of young adults has been significantly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and more than 50% of young adults were exposed to anxiety or depression. The FINER project has developed and is developing a range of tools and resources for young adults and those who work with them, to manage their well-being.
- The resources include the FINER Well-Being E-book which is available both online and offline and includes easy-to-read fonts and videos in International Sign.
- The FINER Target Finder Toolkit which can be used by educators to use with young adults to set well-being targets for themselves in order to navigate their well-being.
- The FINER 3D Online Mall which users can navigate with an avatar and explore different paths for improving their well-being featuring podcasts, videos, books, and other helpful features.

In Vienna, each partner discussed the latest developments in the FINER project and made plans for a three-day training event which will be hosted in the University of Turin in Italy in June 2023. The training event will be attended by 2 young adults from each of the six partner countries and will also feature additional people who work with that target group. The training will introduce the participants to the resources created in the FINER project and teach them additional skills in which they can use in their daily lives to look after their physical and mental well-being.
The two-day meeting in Vienna was extremely productive and partners are happy with the progress of the project which is on schedule to finish in autumn 2023. The meetings were nicely complemented by a meal in a traditional Viennese restaurant where partners got the chance to try traditional Austrian Schnitzel. The next project meeting will take place online to make final preparations for the training event for young adults in Turin. We look forward to meeting again and introducing young adults to the well-being tools we have produced for the FINER project.
